The Pine Straw Shoppe ("we," "us") operates pinestrawshoppe.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what your choices are. Short version: we collect what's needed to sell you pine straw and support you afterward, we don't sell your personal information, and you can ask us what we have or ask us to delete it.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order or contact us: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, and your order details. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processors (Shopify Payments and the payment options offered at checkout); we never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site, collected via cookies and similar technologies. We use analytics services (including Google Analytics) and advertising services (including Google Ads) that set their own cookies to measure site usage and ad performance.
Support conversations. Emails you send us and, if you use our site chat, the contents of those conversations, kept so we can help you and improve our answers.
How we use it
To process and ship your orders; to communicate about your order (confirmations, ship-out dates, tracking, delay notices); to answer your questions; to issue refunds; to send marketing email if you've opted in (unsubscribe anytime, one click); to prevent fraud; to understand how the site is used so we can improve it; and to comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Service providers who make the store work: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping and freight carriers (who need your name and address to deliver), email service providers, and analytics/advertising platforms as described above. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the store to function (cart, checkout, login) and optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may break checkout.
Your choices and rights
- Marketing: unsubscribe from any marketing email via the link in the email.
- Access and deletion: email sales@pinestrawshoppe.com to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws — email us and we'll honor them.

Data retention
We keep order records as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes; support conversations as long as useful to serve you; and marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Children
Our site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the higher age your state requires).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
